Stags take young striker on trial

Monday, June 29, 2009, 07:00

YOUNG striker Jason Bradley will today start a trial with Mansfield Town.

The 20-year old has played for Buxton and also been on the books of League Two Darlington.

Out-of-contract Nathan Arnold will also be back in training with the Stags, even though his future remains up in the air.

Having been offered a new deal at Field Mill and being under the age of 24, the club will be entitled to a fee for him should he opt to move on.

Meanwhile, chairman Andy Perry has confirmed Mansfield paid £5,000 for Steven Istead from Ilkeston Town.

He's been brilliant for us, we should snap him up. He's a lot better than his famous relative at Newcastle.
